For years, I worked incredibly hard to build up my real estate career, creating a sustainable business that provided for our family. My business saw amazing growth, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. However, everything changed when I found out I was pregnant with our second child.
From the very beginning of my second pregnancy, I was sicker and more exhausted than I had been with my daughter, Juniper. I was put on bedrest, facing multiple complications with the pregnancy. I love my career in real estate, but suddenly, I was forced to step back from my normal day-to-day. It was during these difficult moments that the true significance of my chosen career path became glaringly evident.
The journey leading up to this point was intricately woven with the threads of identity, family legacy and a quest for stability. Born and raised in Tennessee with Hispanic roots, my early exploration into the depths of my cultural identity took shape during a solo backpacking adventure through Mexico at just 17 years old. This experience allowed me to connect with my roots, finally recognizing the part of myself that I hadn’t been able to fully embrace or understand until I experienced it myself.
For many years, I worked at an immigration office, listening to people's stories and finding the best way to help them. I loved guiding individuals and families into their next chapter here, but there were also many heartbreaking moments. The emotional demands of this role were intensified when I became a mother in 2018. The unfortunate reality was I couldn’t help everyone; seeing a child experience such hardships in their life was devastating—it was time for yet another transition.
The legacy of real estate entrepreneurship was handed down through generations in my family. My grandmother in Mexico raised her children on a self-sustaining farm, renting out a spare room to the local teacher to help supplement their income. When mom became a single mother, she needed to provide for her three children. So, she split our home into two levels and rented out the bottom half.
This allowed us to not only survive but thrive. Through real estate investing, she started her own business, was able to put two children through college, and, when we turned 18, she gave each of us the monthly income from one of her properties. Getting this incredible gift allowed my husband, Jordan, and I to buy our first home and become investors ourselves.
Following the legacy of my family, I recognized real estate as an avenue to help people while also providing stability for my family. Initially, I transitioned to title work but felt limited in that role. I learned about contracts and legalities in real estate before fully transitioning to a licensed real estate agent in 2019.
Over the next few years, I poured all my energy into growing my business. I loved that, much like my work in immigration, I could help individuals and families take that next step in their lives. Through hard work, I was able to grow my business rapidly, to the point where my husband was able to stay home with our daughter.
During my second pregnancy, as I grappled with physical, emotional, and spiritual exhaustion, the harsh reality of slowing down became apparent. However, amidst this challenging period, my gratitude soared for the resilient business I had built—a venture that persisted even when I, its driving force, found myself confined to bed rest. The unwavering support from my dedicated team, the stable income from our established investments, and the understanding of my clients became invaluable lifelines.
Just as real estate had been a lifeline for my grandmother and mother, it proved to be my anchor through one of the most difficult times of my life. The birth of our son, Ohtli, affectionately nicknamed Moose, marked the start of a new chapter. I am more motivated than ever to help families achieve financial stability through real estate, just as our family has!
My approach to real estate centers on building lasting relationships and fostering positive change within the community. Specializing in serving the Hispanic community, I enjoy bridging the gap for Spanish-speaking families, providing the education, resources and guidance to promote sustainable homeownership. It is my goal to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
As a real estate professional, I specialize in working with family investors, helping them take the next step in acquiring multiple properties. I have experienced firsthand the effects this approach has had on multiple generations in my family, and I love helping others do the same. Real estate, to me, is not just about transactions; it's a vehicle for positive change, uplifting communities and building lasting connections. In a world where transactions can feel impersonal, my commitment is to create an experience that is both financially rewarding and emotionally enriching.Bottom of Form It is my goal to be the ultimate resource for my clients, offering anything and everything they will need to be successful in all chapters of their real estate journey!
Sincerely,
